Will Algard
Will Algard is currently a senior on the Albright College baseball team, where he was played 3 seasons as a first baseman and an outfielder. Before his tenure at Albright, he played 4 seasons for Parkland High School, where he helped lead the Trojans to two state playoff appearances and two EPC championships. Will has coached at a few different levels. In 2019, he was an assistant coach at North Parkland Buffaloes, which plays in the Lehigh Valley American Legion Baseball League. In 2020, Will was hired as the head coach of the rival South Parkland Trojans. Due to Covid-19 the national Legion season was cancelled, but due to some school regulations, Will became the head coach for the Parkland High School baseball team for the summer, and would lead the Trojans to a runner up finish in a 40-team tournament. In 2021, Will was back for his technically first season as head coach of the South Parkland Trojans, where he led the Trojans to a league best 14-1 record. Will is also the youngest head coach to ever coach for the South Parkland Trojans.
Joe Algard
Joe Algard is currently a Freshman at Lehigh University, where he is studying biology, but before that Joe was one of the most dominate pitchers that has pitched in a Parkland High School uniform in recent history. Joe who was originally a catcher, was converted into a pitcher his sophomore year of high school. Joes first year of pitching was supposed to be his junior year, but covid-19 had other plans. While playing for his brother in 2020, Joe was able to record two saves in two appearances for the Trojans. In Joes senior year, he flirted with breaking a plethora of single season pitching records. Joe went 8-1 with a 2.15 era and recorded 57 strikeouts in only 55 innings of work. His 8 wins tied him for 3rd on the all-time single season wins record. These numbers were able to earn him first team recognition in the EPC. Joe was also a finalist for Lehigh Valley pitcher of the year. Joe’s coaching experiences specializes with running camps and clinics to teach proper pitching mechanics.
